The yearly publication of Graphic Arts Japan seems to have started in the early 1960s.
These thick volumes were in fact the priviledged showcase — meant for the international — of the makers and printers members of the Japan Printers' Association. In each volume are found a presentation of the jewels of the Japanese printing machinery, numerous technical articles in English, and a profusion of astonishing and colorful examples of the best Japan could print at the time, as off-set advertizements. Uncommon.

La parution annuelle de Graphic Arts Japan semble avoir commencé au tout début des années 1960.
Ces volumes imposants furent en fait la vitrine publicitaire privilégiée, pour l'étranger, des fabricants et imprimeurs membres du Japan Printers' Association. On trouve, dans chaque volume, une présentation en images de l'outillage de pointe de l'imprimerie japonaise, de nombreux articles techniques de fond en anglais, et, en encarts et off-set hauts en couleurs, une floraison de réalisations exemplaires de tout de qui se pouvait imprimer de mieux à cette époque. Peu courant.
