Ses œuvres sur papier sont remarquables et par ailleurs fort prisées — mélange d'abstrait et de calligraphie, aux couleurs détonnant sur la page blanche. A l'origine, Permanescence est, plus qu'une exposition, une "performance", initiée au début des années 1990 (performances de 1997 [jp] et de 2004 [fr] au Japon). Exhibition book, published in Paris, of Hachiro KANNO (born in 1944 — HP), famous Japanese painter and a calligraphist, settled in Paris (Montmartre), very active and prized many a time. His works on paper are remarkable and quite sought-after, be it by museums or collectors — mix of abstraction and calligraphy, contrasted colors on white pages. Originally, more than an exhibition, Permanescence is a "performance", initiated in the early 1990s (1997 [jp] and 2004 [fr] performances in Japan). Fine exhibition catalogue, inscribed by Kanno.
