Remarques & avis / Review — This country both close by and far away at the same time is, of course, Japan. Ikko NARAHARA (1931-) signs here a little masterpiece in big size, purely Japan, divided in seven articulated sections & themes: kukei (phrase-landscape), No (noh theater), Sumo, Zen, Katana (Japanese saber), Iro (color), Fuji (Mt. Fuji). The rework and continuation of Japanesque (1970): great art, versatile in techniques, subjects and framework — all match and correspond finely. Special mention for the dj (upper and lower boards fit), splendid.
Ce pays à la fois proche et lointain, c'est, bien entendu, le Japon. NARAHARA Ikko (1931-) signe ici une petite merveille en grand format, divisée en sept sections thématiques et articulées en image : kukei (phrase-paysage), No (théâtre no), Sumo, Zen, Katana (sabre japonais), Iro (couleur), Fuji (le mont Fuji). C'est le retravail et la continuation de Japanesque (1970): du grand art, versatile du point de vue des techniques, des sujets, des cadrages — les trois étant en fine adéquation. Mention spéciale pour la jaquette (les deux plats correspondent), splendide.
