Remarques & avis / Review — Voici une de nos séries préférées : la collection spéciale du Taiyo (le Soleil) trimestriel — iconographie riche et de qualité, bonne facture, sujets variés et toujours passionnants, très "japonais". Plutôt que de présenter la vieille ville et les sanctuaires shintoïstes, favorisés des touristes, ce numéro nous donne à voir les trésors des temples bouddhistes de la ville et de la préfecture de Kyoto, et nous fait connaître quelques "artistes bouddhistes" de Kyoto (sculpteur, restaurateurs de tableaux...) — très belles photos et promenade artistique "zen" !
Here is one of our favorite series : the special issues of Taiyo (the Sun), a quarterly — fine and profuse iconography, good printing and paper, and always fascinating, varied and very "Japanese" topics. Rather than showing the old town and the shrines, which tourists favors, the present issue introduces the treasures of the Buddhist temples of the city and the prefecture of Kyoto, and a few "Buddhist artists" (statue maker, repairers of paintings...) — beautiful pictures and "zen" artistic stroll !
