Remarques & avis / Review — "Ohanashi no Takarabako" (La boite au trésor d'histoires) est une collection récente, remarquable pour ses illustrateurs talentueux au trait moderne et coloré, et pour ses jolies et étranges histoires au ton décalé et souvent en dialecte du Kansai — au point qu'on a parfois du mal à croire qu'il s'agit d'un livre pour enfants !
C'est ici une amusante histoire, excellemment illustrée par TASHIMA Seizo, d'un garçon qui obtient d'un Tengu (démon au long nez) un tambour magique, qui fait grandir et grandir les nez des auditeurs ! Cas peu courant de lecture verticale (comme on tournerait les pages d'un calendrier).
"Ohanashi no Takarabako" (The Tale Treasure-Box) is a recent collection, remarkable for its modern and talented illustrators and its fine and strange fairytales in off-beat style and often in Kansai dialect — to the point that one wouldn't think of it as children books !
Here is a funny tale, excellently illustrated by TASHIMA Seizo, of a boy who gets a drum from a Tengu (long-nosed goblin), at the sound of which noses grow longer, longer ! Uncommon case of vertical reading (as one would turn the pages of a calendar).
