Remarques & avis / Review — 'This is a personal document of the rock festival Celebration of Life, which was held in McCrea, Louisiana, U.S.A., June 23-27, 1971.' — 'I lived together with the people there and this book is a portrait of the time we shared.'
A fantastic human and photographic testimony by Ikko NARAHARA, about festivity and this marginal American way of life in the early 1970s — rock, drug, sex, nudity, nature and simplicity. A masterwork of portrait snapshots, mostly in black. An important and touching ending text, in which Narahara tells the experience lived there.
