HIROMIX
HIROMIX (Hiromi TOSHIKAWA, 1976-) became famous by winning the Canon 11th New Cosmos of Photography / Araki Awards in 1995, while still a highschool girl. After graduation she embraced the photographer career and her stunning and superb subsequent first book Girls Blue launched the historically important and still-active trend of young girls' photo-diaries.
HIROMIX (TOSHIKAWA Hiromi, 1976-) devint célèbre en remportant, alors qu'encore lycéenne, le 11ème prix Canon New Cosmos of Photography / prix Araki en 1995. Elle débuta sa carrière de photographe après le lycée, et son étonnante et superbe première publication, Girls Blue, fut également importante pour avoir lancé la mode, toujours présente, du photo-journal de jeune fille.

Rinko KAWAUCHI (1972-), female freelance photographer since 1977, gained overnight fame with her winning the Kimura Ihei Photo Award in 2001 with Utatane and Hanabi, and continues exhibitions all over the world. Unexpected untertoned colors for meaningful, everyday scenes and details.
KAWAUCHI Rinko (1972-), photographe freelance depuis 1997, connut la renommée en remportant le prix Kimura Ihei en 2001 avec Utatane et Hanabi, et continue d'exposer à travers le monde. Couleurs diminuées inattendues pour des scènes et détails quotidiens pleins de sens.

NAGASHIMA Kyoko
The talented Kyoko NAGASHIMA (1970-) graduated in Fine Arts / Oil painting (1994-1996), exhibits photographs solo since 1996 and shows, among others, a particular interest in movies, the human movement in time and space and its adaptation in photography. The praise of deconstruction.
La talentueuse NAGASHIMA Kyoko (1970-) est diplômée en Beaux Arts / Peinture à l'huile, expose solo en photographie depuis 1996, et montre, entre autres, un intérêt certain pour le film, le mouvement humain dans le temps et l'espace, et son adaptation en photographie. Éloge de la décomposition.

NAGASHIMA Yurie
Yurie NAGASHIMA (1973-) is part of the young generation of Japanese female photographers, she accessed to instant fame by winning the Parco Award at the Second Urbanart in 1993 while still in university, then published stunning nude self-portraits (the eponymous book, also important because it created a successful new genre), pictures of her family and friends, and won the the Kimura Ihei Award in 2000 with Pastime Paradise.
NAGASHIMA Yurie (1973-) fait partie de la jeune génération de femmes-photographes japonaises, qui attira l'attention de tous en remportant le Prix Parco au deuxième Urbanart en 1993 alors qu'elle était encore à l'université. Elle publia ensuite d'étonnants auto-portraits nus (livre éponyme également important pour avoir créé un genre qui fit fortune), des photographies de sa famille et de ses amis, et remporta le Prix Kimura Ihei en 2000 avec Pastime Paradise.

Mika NINAGAWA (1972- / HP), is one of the few young female photographers who topped in the mid-1990s in Japan. After graphic design university studies, she started to exhibit and got her first prize in 1996. She also won the 26th prestigious Kimura Ihei Award with HIROMIX and NAGASHIMA Yurie in 2001. She remains extremely active as a photographer, magazine editor and film director (Sakuran, 2007).
NINAGAWA Mika (1972- / HP), fait partie de la génération des quelques jeunes femmes photographes qui percèrent au Japon au milieu des années 1990. Après des études universitaires de concepteur graphique, elle commence d'exposer et obtient son premier prix en 1996. Elle remporte également le 26ème Prix Kimura Ihei avec HIROMIX and NAGASHIMA Yurie en 2001. Elle demeure extrêmement active, en tant que photographe, directrice de revue et réalisatrice (Sakuran, 2007).

NOMURA Keiko
Keiko NOMURA (1970-) does not belong to the female self-portrait syndrome of the 1990s. After giving up on an English university curriculum, she studies photography and graduates in 1994. She exhibits her first works (Viet-nam) in 1996 and her first photobook, Deep South (Okinawa) wins the 1999 Newcomer Award of the prestigious Photographic Society of Japan, which was not granted even to Yurie NAGASHIMA or HIROMIX.
NOMURA Keiko (1970-) sort du syndrome de l'auto-portrait féminin des années 1990. Après avoir abandonné un cursus universitaire d'anglais, elle étudie la photographie et sort diplômée en 1994. Elle expose dès 1996 (photos du Vietnam) et son premier livre-photo, Deep South, remporte en 1999 le Newcomer Award de la prestigieuse Société photographique du Japon, que même NAGASHIMA Yurie ou HIROMIX ne s'étaient vues décerner.

NOMURA Sakiko
Sakiko NOMURA (1967-) is a Japanese female photographer who draws a growing and justified interest, among others for her fantastic, dark and subtle male nudes and her focus on black as a light, graduate from Kyushu Sangyo Daigaku University in photography in 1990. She becomes Nobuyoshi ARAKI's assistant in 1991, exhibited for the first time in 1993 and now works at the Tokyo Aatroom.
NOMURA Sakiko (1967-) est une photographe japonaise qui suscite un intérêt croissant et justifié, entre autres pour ses fantastiques, sombres et subtils nus masculins et sa vision du noir comme lumière, diplômée de l'université Kyushu Sangyo Daigaku en photographie en 1990. Elle devient l'assistante d'ARAKI Nobuyoshi en 1991, commence d'exposer en 1993 et travaille à présent au Tokyo Artroom.
