Remarques & avis / Review — A fine set of history books from the early Meiji, representative of the Bunmeikaika (the movement of Westernization of Japan during the Meiji era), illustrated with 37 fine copper plate engravings (in-text half-pages, except the map of the USA, full page) that begin with Noah's Ark!
