Review — An exceptional set of the original archive prints by YOSHIDA Ruiko for her exhibition in 1971-72 (along with photos of an exhibition hall and ephemera) and the two books that were born from her 7-year stay in New York City: Black is Beautiful: Harlem no Atsui Hibi and Harlem: Black Angels (SIGNED COPY). An important pictorial testimony on the Harlem community in the 1960s: daily life, Black Panthers, demos..

38 original photographic prints (16.5 x 12 - 18 x 13 cm)
mounted on black paper (approx. 25 x 18 cm):
- 22 street & outside photographies: 8 color and 14 b&w
- 16 studio pics: 4 color and 12 b&w (incl. 1 cut from contact sheet)
Excellent condition.
