Remarques & avis / Review — A superb collection, in two finely crafted volumes under slipcase, — one of color photography, the other in black — by the talented Japanese photographer Eimu ARINO (1941-) who exhibits solo since 1978. The first volume, in black, is dedicated to his extraordinary urban photography — great portraits and street shots throughout the world and in Japan, mainly in Osaka, featuring his most famous shots and more recent works. The second volume, in color, presents the lesser-known part of his works, landscapes : ARINO relentlessly travels throughout Japan — some shots brings him close to Toshio SHIBATA's photography —, sometimes coming back to the same place after some years, occasion of remarkable series (the swingset on the seaside). Excellent in every respect. Signed copies.
