This issue presents the interesting personalities, daily lives and the achievements of one hundred of Edo (Tokyo)'s most important karo — the principal and most faithful retainer of the daimyo (feudal lord), who assumed full responsibility for the management of the clan — in the Edo period (1603-1867), with biographies, anecdotes, explanatory notes, and numerous documents, their paintings, photos, personal writings and belongings. A fine issue!

Ce numéro est consacré aux personnalités intéressantes, à la vie quotidienne et aux réalisations des cent karo — le principal et le plus fidèle serviteur du daimyo (seigneur féodal), qui était pleinement responsable de la gestion du clan — les plus importants d'Edo (Tokyo) à l'ère Edo (1603-1867), avec biographies, anecdotes, notes explanatoires, et de nombreux documents, leurs peintures, photos, écrits et possessions personnelles. Un bon numéro !
