Remarques & avis / Review — An important turning point, along with its limited & equally astounding counterpart Shi Nikki (1994), in Nobuyoshi ARAKI's conscious conception of photography and his then awaited profession of faith, where the idea of 'Shi Shashin' / 'I-photography' makes its way to the title for the first time and is developped throughout the volume, in an excellent selection — average printing on purpose — and series of random streetshots and portraits of women. A personal favorite.
Un tournant important, de pair avec son également impressionnant homologue à tirage limité Shi Nikki (1994), dans la conception consciente de la photographie d'ARAKI Nobuyoshi, et alors profession de foi attendue, où l'idée de "Shi shashin" / "Photographie-je" fait son chemin jusqu'au titre et est développée à travers le volume, en une excellente sélection — impression moyenne à dessein — et séries de clichés de rue aléatoires et portraits de femmes. Un favori personnel.
