Remarques & avis / ReviewNobuyoshi ARAKI's magnificent monochrome TOKYO, of empty streets and interior nudes facing one another, in a very well-crafted, oversized volume of sober elegance. A sharp contrast with Kishin SHINOYAMA's great Tokyo Nude, complex, theatrical and colorful, where nude bodies are put in the streets of the Japanese capital — the other side of the same coin.

Divers / Misc. — "Languid nude face people-less streets on opposing pages. A memory of a dead city seen from the side of life." (IIZAWA Kohtaro, ARAKI's Illustrated Bibliography, in déjà-vu #4 : ARAKI Nobuyoshi (1991), p.88)
