Remarques & avis / Review — Here is one of our favorite series : the special issues of Taiyo (the Sun), a quarterly — fine and profuse iconography, good printing and paper, and always fascinating, varied and very 'Japanese' topics.
The present issue is dedicated to the comparative maps of two of the Five Highways: the Nakasendo (from Yedo to Kyoto & Osaka) and the Oshudo (that ran through the Tohoku region), through maps from the Yedo, Meiji and Showa period, as well as pictures of places of interest. Large maps included. A great issue!

Ce numéro est consacré aux cartes comparées de deux des cinq Grands Axes: le Nakasendo (de Yedo à Kyoto à Osaka) et le Oshudo (qui parcourt la région du Tohoku), à travers des cartes des ères Edo, Meiji et Showa, ainsi que des photos des lieux d'intérêt.
