Description — 10 color, woodblock-printed envelops (approx. 15 x 10 cm each), addressed, stamped, traveled and opened.

Condition — Good (wear, tears).

Review — 10 wonderful woodcut-printed envelops from members of the Sosaku Hanga group 'Han no Kai', each handcrafted by their sender, addressed to the print artist MATSUSHITA Chiharu. The group, founded by the illustrator TAKEI Takeo (1894-1983), entailed 161 members who exchanged New Year cards from 1935 to 1954. The present envelops were sent between 1939 and 1941 (dated post stamps) and crafted by the print artists OOIWA Chuichi, TSUKIOKA Ninko, NEMOTO Kagai, FUJIMOTO Toichiryo, MORI Toshun, MIZUFUNE Rokushu, RYOJI Chumei..
