Remarques & avis / Review — An excessively funny and witty account of the travel in Japan and around the world that the famous Japanese journalist and writer Genji SHIBUKAWA (1872-1926) completed in 1909 and which later got serialized in Asahi Newspaper. Faux-pas & misfortune one after the other, lots of culture shock — to the reader's joy — and plenty of fine offset illustrations by Shunsen NATORI (1886-1960). A great illustrated book!
Le truculent de relat du voyage au Japon et autour du monde que le fameux journaliste et écrivain japonais SHIBUKAWA Genji (1872-1926) réalisa en 1909 et qui fut plus tard sérié dans le journal Asahi. De faux-pas en infortune, beaucoup d'occasions de choc culturel — pour la joie du lecteur — et nombre jolies illustrations offset par NATORI Shunsen (1886-1960). Un excellent livre illustré !
