Review — A wonderful set of 12 original woodcut prints from late Meiji (1898) in traditional Japanese style: flowers, a dog, a tortoise, a fisherman, a lady, landscapes, sometimes verging on abstract. Original paintings by the famed Meiji artist KAWABATA Gyokusho (1842-1913) made into woodcuts by KIMURA Tokutaro and beautifully printed by MATSUI Sanjiro on fine paper in a Japanese-styled leporello book.
