Remarques & avis / Review — The album of Ghilbli's Laputa: Castle in the Sky, published on the same year as the animation movie was aired. Lots of screen shots, original artwork, sketches, staff interviews with pictures, etc. — a fine book, even though a bit less entertaining than the one dedicated to Nausicaa. Quite uncommon.

L'album du Le château dans le ciel de Ghibli, publié la même année que la sortie en salle du film d'animation. Beaucoup de scènes du film, de dessins préparatoires, d'interviews des membres de l'équipe, etc. — un très bon volume, même si un peu moins fourni que celui dédié à Nausicaa. Assez peu courant.

Remarques & avis / Review — A superb history and profusely illustrated overview of animation cinema, by the master TEZUKA Osamu — the international beginnings (hence the cover illustration, little representative of the book), and animation in Japan since Taisho / the 1920s. Great layout & fine printing.

Une superbe histoire, et un tour d'horizon par l'image, du film d'animation, par le maître TEZUKA Osamu — les débuts internationaux (d'où l'illustration de couverture, peu représentative de l'ouvrage), et l'animation au Japon depuis Taisho / les années 1920. Belle maquette et bonne impression.

Lots of screen shots, original artwork, sketches, staff interviews with pictures, etc. — a great piece of work. Was successfully reprinted thenafter, with success. Quite uncommon.

L'album du Nausicaä de la vallée du vent de Ghibli, publié la même année que la sortie en salle du film d'animation. Foison de scènes du film, d'œuvres originales, d'esquisses, d'interviews de l'équipe avec photos (à l'époque où Miyazaki ne portait barbe), etc. — un excellent travail. Fut réédité par la suite avec succès. Assez rare.
