État / Condition — Good (slipcase in bad cond.: spinestrip damaged, tears & wear, partially restaured; pages slightly yellowed; otherwise VG).
Bon (étui en mauvais état : dos endommagé, déchirures & usure, en partie restauré ; pages lég. jaunies ; sinon TB).

Remarques & avis / Review — A great classic on photo retouching in the early 1930s by Etsusaburo YAMAZAKI — the tools, the techniques, and numerous illustrative photographs, mostly excellent portraits.

Un superbe classique sur la retouche de photos au début des années 1930 par YAMAZAKI Etsusaburo — les outils, les techniques, et une foison de photographies illustratives, par ailleurs d'excellents portraits.

État / Condition — VG (slipcase edges a bit browned; foxing on p. edges; otherwise excellent).
TB (bords étui un peu brunis ; rousseurs s/ tranches ; sinon excellent).

Remarques & avis / Review — The early Japanese adaptation & translation, by Kunio KITANO, of this classic on fine-grain developers by Harry CHAMPLIN, a photo-lab owner, photographer and inventor of Champlin #15 & #16 developers, with beautiful additional photos (of Japanese interest) developed using Champlin's formulas. A fine volume with fine papers (the photos on heavy glossy paper, and the text on 1930s quality 'bouffant' paper) and printing.

L'adaptation japonaise et traduction tostive, par KITANO Kunio, de ce classique traitant des développeurs à grain fin, de Harry CHAMPLIN, photographe, chimiste et inventeur des développeurs Champlin n°15 & 16, avec de belles photos supplémentaires (d'intérêt japonisant) développées en usant des formules de Champlin. Un beau volume avec de bons papiers (les photos sur du brillant lourd, le texte sur du bon "bouffant" léger des années 1930) et impression de qualité.
