Excellent (étui lég. frotté).

Remarques & avis / Review — One of the most impressive and thorough photobooks among Kishin SHINOYAMA's works dealing with Japan : 25 traditional themes, from Japan's representative natural beauties to its arts and crafts, with for each subject two full-page photos, one double-page picture — and one fantastic "shinorama" that unfold on four pages (double gate-fold, more than one meter wide !). The "Shinorama" is not only a tool to produce large panoramas : it is a subtle device of photographic composition (shots are not necessarily simultaneous) that gives a surreal dimension to the great photographs of Japan as seen by the famous photographer, superbly reproduced in a beautiful, oversized volume. A magnificent book.
