Remarques & avis / Review — True showcase of printing in the Japan of the 1960s and 70s. GAJ is an excellent publication, which joins ground articles (see below) and a great variety of illustrations (silver-gold, in 3D...) and engravings (photo-litho., copper, intaglio, various combinations...). Our favorites in this vol. 12 : Cézanne's Trump Players in off-set litho. and 4-color intaglio Sammeldruck, a stunning stereoscopic 3D print of zebras in the savanna, four stickers for the 1970 Osaka Universal Exhibition, and a vrey pretty reproduction (as an ex. of a high-quality color separation method) of the Sagano in Kyoto of the Rakushisha.
Véritable vitrine de l'imprimerie du Japon des années 1960-70. GAJ est une excellente publication, qui associe des articles techniques de fond (voir ci-dessous) et une extrême richesse en tous types d'illustrations (dorées-argentées, en relief...) et gravures (photo-litho., cuivre, intaglio, combinaisons diverses...) avec, en coups de cœur et chefs-d'œuvre de ce vol. 12 : Les joueurs de carte de Cézanne en litho off-set 4 coul. et intaglio Sammeldruck 4 coul., une bluffante impression 3D stéréoscopique de zèbres en savane, quatre auto-collants pour l'Exposition Universelle d'Osaka de 1970, et une très jolie reproduction (en ill. d'un procédé de pointe de séparation des couleurs) du Sagano à Kyoto du Rakushisha.
