Remarques & avis / Review — A descent into memories and the old town of Kyoto and its surroundings in the early 1960, by the famous Japanese writer and dramatist HOJO Hideji (1902-1996), with Sosei KUZUNISHI's beautiful photogravured photographs, in twelve chapters and months.

Une descente dans les souvenirs et la vieille ville de Kyoto et ses environs au début des années 1960, par le célèbre écrivain et dramaturge japonais HOJO Hideji (1902-1996), avec les belles photographies héliogravées de KUZUNISHI Sosei, en douze chapitres et mois.

Remarques & avis / Review — A remarkable Kyoto in spring in the early 1970s, in monochrome and strong contrasts, by INOUE Seiryu — maiko, geiko, in the dressing room, dancing, and hanami, sakura, drinking, hot spots, noh and festivals, in a fine volume. A personal favorite.

Un remarquable Kyoto au printemps au début des années 1970, en monochrome et forts contrastes, par INOUE Seiryu — maiko, geiko, en habillage, dansant, et hanami, sakura, boisson, lieux fréquentés, nô et festivals, dans un beau volume. Un favori personnel.

Remarques & avis / Review — Here is one of our favorite series : the special issues of Taiyo (the Sun), a quarterly — fine and profuse iconography, good printing and paper, and always fascinating, varied and very "Japanese" topics.
A beautiful series of 4 volumes which give, through numerous pictures and illustrations, a very visual account of all aspects of Japanese tea ceremony, based on Wabi, and follow the seasons through all Japan for the capital events of this traditional practice. Excellent issues and special mention for the great cover design!

Voici une de nos séries préférées : la collection spéciale du Taiyo (le Soleil) trimestriel — iconographie riche et de qualité, bonne facture, sujets variés et toujours passionnants, très "japonais".
Belle série de 4 volumes qui donnent, grâce à de nombreuses photographies et illustrations, un aperçu très visuel de tous aspects de la cérémonie du thé, fondée sur le Wabi, et suivent, au fil des saisons, les événements capitaux, à travers tout le Japon, qui rythment la vie de cette pratique traditionnelle. Excellents numéros et mention spéciale pour les superbes couvertures !
