Remarques & avis / ReviewMiyako ISHIUCHI's mother died in 2000 : this photobook presents maternal belongings, as well as familial places through a few pictures from Yokosuka Story, Apartment & Endless Night, and is a superb mourning, tribute, attempt of understanding and a strong, touching pictorial testimony. ISHIUCHI / mother's hined for being the first Japanese photographer since Kishin SHINOYAMA in 1976 to represent Japan at the Venice Biennale in 2005.

La mère d'ISHIUCHI Miyako meurt en 2000 : ce livre-photo présente des possessions maternelles, ainsi que les lieux familiaux à travers quelques clichés de Yokosuka Story, Apartment & Endless Night, et est deuil superbe, hommage, tentative de comprehension et témoignage pictural fort et touchant. ISHIUCHI / mother's brilla pour avoir été, en 2005, le premier représentant japonais à la Biennale de Venise depuis SHINOYAMA Kishin en 1976.
